ACTION OF COLLECTING OLD PAPER – MAKE THE GREEN STEP.

Datum objave: 8. May, 2017.

For the occasion of Earth day association Argonauta prepared action of collecting old paper named “Green step” sponsored by dm. Students from primary school “Murterski škoji” gathered one more time in this, now traditional action, and collected exactly 5683 kg of old papers!

Collecting of old paper began in the beginning of April, and during the whole month you could see the kids how they collect and put in order the paper in the streets and yards. On the day of action 28th of April, kids and their parents were bringing paper the carts, cars, trailer and all kinds of transports.

All the paper was weighed and stored in the warehouse where it will be redeemed by Unijapapira at a price of 500 kn per ton, and the funds will be used to finance one-day excursion to the grade which collect the most paper. Situation “on the ground” cannot be described in words because the competition was so strong that some classes were coalescing to insure the victory, others were late for weighing the paper, and the third was collecting the paper even during the action trying to have few kilograms more and win in competition.

In the end, the second and fifth grade took the victory with 919 kg and 1411 kg of paper. Students from both classes will be rewarded with one-day excursion.

That nobody leaves the action with empty hands, TZO Murter-Kornati provided 500 seedlings of flowers so students can beautify their balconies and courtyards.

You were all good and likable in your competitive spirit and thank you for your efforts in preserving our beloved Earth!
