Argonauta at the National Tool Fair 2018.
The Agency for Mobility and EU Programs for the second time organized the National Tool Fair in Croatia, which took place in Zagreb on June 27 and 28, 2018. This year’s fair presents 12 innovative educational tools that help with youth work, and the Association of Argonauta presented its educational SOS e-handbook as one of the tools.
Experts from different professions and young people each year make great efforts to develop innovative educational tools that will respond to current needs and youth interests. Unfortunately, these tools often do not get the attention they deserve. In order to make this change and give creators and their tools the attention of SALTO EuroMed, the Good Practices Resource Center and the National Agencies of the “Erasmus + Youth in Action” program for the last 13 years are organizing a method and informal learning fair. Specifically, they organize national fairs, which are a kind of pre-selection process for participation at the International Fair.
In two days of training, the participants expanded their presentation skills and improved them through various exercises, presented their tools and tested many of them. The participants had the opportunity to test the tools presented and give feedback on whether they like the tool, which could improve and change. The participants fell the claim that the “big” do not like to play, as they enjoyed youth games such as – Strap Women, Speech Panel, Speaking Corner, Guided Fantasies, etc. They had both a direct insight into the strength and weakness of the tools and they had great fun too.
Training was also a pre-selection for the International Tool Fair, which Croatia will have the honor to host this year and will be held from 12th to 16th November 2018 in Split. Of the 12 tools presented, 6 of them will have the opportunity to be present at the International Tool Fair and thus reach a wider audience. We hope that others who work with young people will be an inspiration and motivation to develop tools that will be used by the youth education process.
