Small builders of the bell tower.
This Monday, we introduced children to the former bell tower of the so-called “The Zvonar”, which stands beside the parish church of St. Mihovila in Murter. Namely, the Collection has two photographs that testify to its existence and service to believers for more than 50 years, to the construction of today’s bell tower in 1957. The children approached the story of Zvonarica, the bells in general, about their “growth” or construction, and how much time it takes to build a bell tower. Also, we have virtually looked everywhere in the world what any bell-tower has and what differences are there regarding island architecture.
With creative work, we tried to revive our Zvonarica through the art technique of collage. Apart from learning something about Murray’s history, we have also adopted the technique that is part of the educational practice in schools and is part of the recreational and teaching activity.
The next Monday clothes are just about to be made, and it will certainly call some investigations, as the Collection still contains a handful of hidden secrets.
I’ll see you on Monday!
