First day of fieldwork for the volunteers of DSWE4.
On the second day of the project Dry Stone Wall Extravaganza 4, our youngsters were ready to dirt their hands! After receiving their gloves and tools, they started to clean the area of Colentum’s maritime Roman villa complex, freeing the walls from bushes and grass and arranging the stones in the shallow water near the remnants in order to facilitate the rebuilding and the archaeological excavations.
In the evening, our participants learnt more about the process of reflection on the development of their competencies which will culminate in the writing of their YouthPass certificate (for more information, check www.youthpass.eu/en/).
