Educational visit to Happy Horse farm.
Finally a trip! On 17th February, ecopatrol children replaced the usual Saturday meeting with an educational visit to Happy Horse farm in Dubrava, near Sibenik. We arrived when the animals were having breakfast, so, while they were eating, the children enjoyed the sun, played football and table football, and made full use of everything that the farm’s playground offers.
After that, we visited the farm, learning more about black pigs, goats, rabbits, peacocks, and hens. Kids were especially fascinated by Dunko, Manda, and Janja, the farm’s llamas, of South American origin but with Dalmatian names. At the end, children met the main animals of the farm, the horses, which they had the opportunity to ride.
Time seems short when you are enjoying what you are doing… when we gathered them to reach the bus, children didn’t believe that it was already time to go back to Murter!
