Puppet show “The sea is alive” played in kindergartens “Školjkica” and “Ribica”.
On Friday, 22nd March, the educational puppet show “The sea is alive” has been played to the children of kindergartens “Školjkica” in Betina and “Ribica” in Jezera. Through the play of shadows on the screen and the company of the fish Dobrica, the girl Ana, the boy Petar, and their grandfather, children were introduced to the topic of marine biodiversity, the characteristics of corals, and the importance of protecting marine environments. They gladly responded that they also want to become small protectors of the sea, and their favourite part of the show was when they could peek behind the screen and realize how the show works.
The performance is part of the project “Kornati – it’s important to know the sea 5”, which targets preschool and primary school children with the aim of presenting them in an attractive way the topic of the protection of nature and the importance of preserving marine biodiversity. The project is financed by the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education.
