FIRST EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION TO KORNATI NATIONAL PARK.
On Wednesday, 05.06.2019, the first of the three educational trips to Kornati National Park was carried out as part of the Kornati project – it is important to know about the sea 5. The aim of the project is to increase the awareness of the value of nature, specifically the Kornati Islands through three components, and one of the components is the educational trips to the Kornati islands.
Users of Šubićevac Center from Šibenik, accompanied by their assistants and teachers, took advantage of a day trip to socialize, learn and create new memories. On the way through Kornati, the children met the various marine habitats through the shadow theater that prepared Argonauta’s volunteers and gifted children for them. This connected children with special needs and gifted children and created a new attitude towards diversity, encouraging their mutual support. Through an educational workshop, children demonstrated their creativity and collegiality; they were happy to help each other when they were “stuck” in solving tasks.
Although coloring and solving tasks was interesting, the children coudn’t wait to “open the swimming season” – could it be better than the National Park and the Levrnaka Bay ?! We all agreed that it can not and took the advantage of the Kornati benefits.
Even at the entrance to the boat, one child said “this is my favorite day” and indeed, we acknowledge it was a great day! Children with special needs are indeed special because they see the opportunity most of us do not see. The opportunity for a day to make “the most desirable” not only to yourself but to others. They managed to get the boat staff, Argonauta employees and volunteers to end the journey with joyful verses of Grašo, Bralić, Oliver and other great singers.
We happily and joyfully arrived to the harbor, and we already have booked the other two excursions this weekend: children of middle school and elementary school will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Kornati Islands and the richness of the sea.
