Blue Eco-patrol project presented in schools.
The Blue Eco-Patrol project was presented in seven schools in the coastal and island part of the Šibenik-Knin County, in Murter, Tisno, Pirovac, Vodice, Brodarica, Primosten and Rogoznica. During this school year, the students of these schools will participate in the pilot implementation of the extracurricular education program for sustainable development “Blue Eco-Patrol”.
Project Leader – The Argonauta Association, together with its partner, the More 249 Local Action Group, presented the project in all seven selected schools, where teachers, representatives of civil society organizations and local self-government units had the opportunity to hear more about the project’s objectives, target groups, activities, and benefits that the project brings. Besides, Argonauta employees shared their many years of experience in implementing the “Murter Eco-Patrol” with the gathered, trying to encourage them to apply for a local coordinator.
Each of the participating schools will have its local coordinator, who through the activities of the Blue Eco-Patrol will gather 20 patrolling children, educate them on sustainable development and encourage civic activism. Local coordinators themselves will also receive training on sustainable development topics and non-formal education methods through three two-day weekend seminars in October and November 2019.
The vacancy announcement for the local coordinator of the Blue Eco-Patrol will be published in mid-September 2019, and all detailed information on the recruitment and employment of the local coordinators will be published on the Argonauta Association website and the project pages (www.eko-patrola.org).
The Blue Eco-Patrol project started on June 1, 2019, and lasts for 22 months and is co-financed through the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Program for HRK 1,152,000.00, while its total value is HRK 1,280,000.00.
