Socializing and sharing experiences with “Sunflower“.

On Monday, our association was visited by members of the Sunflower Center – Community Development Center is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 2004 in response to post-war psychosocial needs in the community. Sunflower deals with community development within Sisak-Moslavina County. The aim is to highlight the negative psychological, social and cultural consequences of social problems in the region; improve the quality of life for all members of the community, especially for the most vulnerable in society; promote community rebuilding and support the development of a sustainable democratic civil society.

Sunflower staff in Murter are on a team-building and have contacted us with a desire to meet and share experiences. Members of the Argonauta Association gladly welcomed Sunflower representatives and briefly introduced each other to their work, projects, and activities. Sunflower implements a wide variety of programs and initiatives in the local community and new settlements, primarily for children and young people, but also for adults.

Associations have many topics in common with me, and ideas for some joint projects in the future were born. We thank the Sunflower staff for their visit and we look forward to working with you soon!
