EUROPEAN MURTER LANGUAGE DAY.
On Friday, on the 4th of October in the centre of Murter, we celebrated the European Day of Languages.
At this year’s event, our 11 volunteers from Poland, Spain, Turkey and Italy represented their countries; monuments, languages and traditions. Visitors also had the opportunity to try Turkish, Croatian, Italian, Polish and Spanish traditional foods, to learn and expand their knowledge of different cultures and languages, as well as to learn new words and expressions. Two long-term Argonauta’s volunteers who volunteer through the Sea is Life 8 project also join to the volunteers and contributed to the event.
We believe that this experience brought people of different nationalities closer, left a mark and a fond memory for all participants and visitors of the European Day of Languages in Murter.
