Seafood Rebellion educated and entertained the youngest of Murter.
On Sunday, the premiere of “Seafood Rebellion” was directed by Sergeja Mioča and performed by the “Virko” theatre from Sibenik.
The premiere of the play was preceded by the presentation of marine pollution data by Pere Tutman of the Institute of Oceanography and Development. Mr Tutman had asked the children with questions, and some of the questions were answered, not only by experts but also later through the play. The vapour, octopus and toothpick were in a terrible problem with human guilt, so they shared their torment with tourists who ordered a “Seafood for 2 people” at a fine restaurant on our coast for dinner.
The play was designed as part of activities to educate children and young people about the problems of the marine environment, that is, pollution of the sea, a large amount of plastic and microplastics in the sea, and other non-degradable waste. This play is part of the activities of the Sea Stainability project, which is hosted by LAGUR Galeb from Tribunj, with partners TUŠ Šibenik, IZOR Split and the Argonaut association.
