The conference was attended by students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and representatives of project partners. The conference was attended by students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and representatives of project partners.
At the amphitheatre of the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb, all project participants gathered to present the results of the project, the “Blue Project” manual and future steps regarding the cooperation of partner organizations. In 18 months we have learned what is socially beneficial learning, what it means for higher education and the work of civil society organizations, but also how to contribute to the development of the local community through student socially beneficial projects. raising awareness of the needs of the marine environment, with particular emphasis on dolphins and turtles.
Ten student groups involved in the project presented the preparation and implementation of their DKU projects through PowerPoint presentations. It was really interesting to hear how impressed the students were with the preparation and implementation of the project, what problems they encountered, how they were addressed, and how their mentors and volunteers assisted them in the preparation and implementation of projects. It was a special pleasure to see students satisfied with the projects implemented and to recommend participation in the DKU project to each student, but also glad to engage in further activities of this type.
Project coordinator of the partner organization of the Veterinary Faculty Lada Radin, expert associate on the project Martina Djuras and project manager Sanja Kovaćev also said goodbye. The partner organizations agreed on the excellent cooperation of the partners on the project, thanked the students for active participation and expressed their wish for future joint projects depending on the available tenders.
After the official part of the conference, all participants of the conference gathered at the renovated Snack Bar. The premises of the Education Center once again showcase all the promotional materials produced through the project and the Blue Handbook, which summarizes all the steps needed to design and implement the DKU projects.
