“Plant a tree, don’t be a stump!”.

Datum objave: 25. October, 2019.

This Friday and Saturday, the Argonauta Association will join the campaign “Plant a Tree, Don’t Be a Stump!”

Through the Eco-patrol, together with our eco-patrollers, we will plant several trees and in a fun way, through different games, learn why we should plant trees at all, how trees communicate, why we are increasingly witnessing major fires in the world and what are the benefits of trees and forests provide these many other interesting things about them.

In addition to Murter, the Argonauta will also contribute to this action in Sinj with the screening of the documentary “River Blue.” With the support of the Sinj Alkaline Society, the screening will be held at the Museum of the Sinj Alka. Wondering how we got to Sinj? Well, the Argonauta Association is currently implementing the Blue Eco-Patrol project, which will educate 20 participants through three educational weekend seminars on sustainable development and non-formal learning methods.

For one of these weekend seminars, we also chose to stay in Sinj. Instead of showing the film only to the participants, we took the opportunity to educate the general public on this documentary about environmental disasters and the importance of nature we all depend on together.

As is usually the case, great works require many individuals focused on one goal, and we thank Murtela doo and the Municipality of Murter-Kornati for purchasing trees for planting. We would also like to thank the Alka Knights Association for the projection hall and the Krka National Park Public Institution for the rights to the documentary.

We hope that this will be just one of the actions to encourage people to actively care for the nature and future of future generations.
