We participated in the workshop: “Introducing ICT tools to combat energy poverty through energy consulting”.
On October 17, 2019, we participated in a workshop entitled “Introducing ICT Tools to Combat Energy Poverty through Energy Counseling” organized by the Society for Sustainable Development Design (DOOR) and the Student Association for the Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Counseling (SUPEUS) within the IDEA project ; Innovative Direction in Energy Advising at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb.
The workshop briefly presented 15 ICT tools for combating energy poverty through energy consulting aimed at raising the awareness of European citizens about the growing issue of energy poverty, contributing to addressing energy poverty while addressing climate change, strengthening adult skills and competences in the field of energy poverty and energy counseling and help the unemployed identify energy counselling as an opportunity to find new business opportunities. Also, the workshop featured the ClimAlt project aimed at raising awareness among young people about climate change, more about the project: https://www.climaltproject.eu/home. The project also developed an Erasmus +-funded e-course, which includes 32 hours of climate change teaching, which will be available on the online platform from 25 November 2019 to 25 February 2019 and will be available in four languages: English, Bulgarian, Italian and Croatian. The ClimAlt e-course aims to offer the course participants the opportunity to gain knowledge of the causes, impacts and possible solutions to climate change. This course will allow participants to network with various stakeholders involved in the fight against climate change. The ultimate goal of the course is to familiarize young people with possible social and environmental changes and to encourage them to participate in or initiate them. The e-course can be attended by young people from 18 to 30 years of age, who are especially interested in climate and environmental topics.
We believe that this e-course is a great opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills on this very topical topic and can greatly assist us in our future work. Our colleagues Ivana and Lovro have decided to sign up, and you can sign up at .
