It’s important to have support!.
Civil Society Conference 2030: HR-EU_Euro-Mediterranean organized by the National Foundation for Civil Society Development was held from 23 to 25 October 2019 at the Solaris Convention Center in Šibenik. Representatives of our association participated in workshops and networking during the three days of the conference. The Argonauta Association has been the beneficiary of Institutional Support for the NZRCD for the period 2018-2020.
The conference was attended by Minister for Regional Development and EU Funds Mr. Marko Pavića, Director of the Office for Associations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia Ms. Helene Beus, President of the Board of Directors Dražen Vikić-Topića, Director of the National Foundation of Mrs. Cvjetana Plavša-Matić and many other distinguished guests from the country and the world as well as representatives of civil society organizations, with a total of about 300 participants.
The Conference aims to lay the groundwork for the further development of civil society in the new decade – by 2030, both in the Republic of Croatia and at the level of the European Union and the Euro-Mediterranean. Challenges faced by almost all countries in Europe and the international community place before organized civil society the need to reflect on the vision of further social (and economic) development and new models of cross-sectoral cooperation that will provide a holistic approach to sustainability from local communities to the planet Earth.
Over the course of three days, we had the opportunity to learn something new about the work of civil society organizations and the problems they face, participate in the proposal process, discuss civil society opportunities in the digital age and network with other participants, share experiences, make contacts and potentially lay the groundwork some future collaborations.
We thank the National Foundation for the opportunity to attend this Conference.
