We were in Sinj for the second educational weekend seminar realized through the project “Blue Eco-patrol.
As part of the Blue Eco-Patrol project, a second educational weekend seminar was held where 20 participants were educated on sustainable development and non-formal learning methods. The seminar was held in Sinj from 25.10.2019. to 27.10.2019, where the Argonauta Association organized a screening of the movie “River Blue” for all interested parties.
Organized by the Argonauta association as the project promoter, and the MORE 249 LAG and other project partners, a second educational weekend seminar for selected participants on sustainable development and non-formal learning methods was organized. The training aimed to train participants for the position of “Local Blue Eco-Patrol Coordinators”, which will take the group of 20 children in 7 coastal and island regions in Šibenik-Knin County. Over the weekend, the participants addressed good examples of sustainability in local communities and schools and methods that would explain sustainable development to students and encourage them to take an active role. The educational weekend seminar in Sinj coincided with the campaign “Plant a Tree, Don’t Be a Stump!” An emotive and poignant film dealt with the question “Can fashion save the world?” How much we are connected and how much our actions can cause a change in another part of the world is understood by the participants through examples of various chain reactions. On the last day of the program, the participants were divided into teams to explore the selected topics, their connections, the principles of sustainability and more in-depth to bring them closer to children.
The participants will present their group work at the last educational seminar which will be held in Rastoke from 15.11.2019 to 11/17/2019.
The Blue Eco-Patrol project started on June 1, 2019, and lasts for 22 months and is co-financed through the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Program for HRK 1,152,000.00, while its total value is HRK 1,280,000.00.
