Argonauta was declared the best volunteer organizer in 2019.

On International Volunteer Day, on the 5th of December organized by the Youth Council of the Šibenik-Knin County at the Juraj Šižgorić City Library in Šibenik, awards were given to the best volunteers and volunteer organizers. Among the eight candidates, five for volunteer organizers and the three-member jury selected the Argonauta Association as the best volunteer organizer in 2019. Selection criteria were the number of volunteer hours and how they were spent.

The awarding ceremony for volunteers and volunteer organizers was initiated in 2016 at the initiative of the Youth Council of the City of Šibenik, and since this year the Youth Council of the County of Šibenik-Knin joins the organization, thus extending the awarding of volunteer awards to the entire county.

This award is great recognition for Argonauta staff, for all the volunteers who through Argonauta contributed to the protection of natural and cultural heritage, there were over 1000 of them, and for all institutions and individuals who have recognized and supported volunteer engagement!

Not only would we be rewarded, but we would also like to reward our volunteers on International Volunteer Day who made a great contribution to the work of the Association. Magdalena, Lucija and Kim from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb, for their engagement have earned the award, and on this occasion, we thank them sincerely.

We would also like to thank our long-term volunteers who are investing their time, knowledge and effort into the goals that the Argonauta Association promotes every day! Looking forward to furthering volunteer activities 🙂
