Who wants to be a patrol? Student animation for Blue Eco-Patrol began.
Today began the animation of students to participate in the “Pilot Implementation of the Blue Eco-Patrol Education Program” in the 2019/2020 school year. The pilot program is carefully designed to help children build a positive attitude towards sustainable development and is intended for students in grades 5 to 8. In each of the schools, a group of 20 patrolling children will be formed to carry out Blue Eco-patrol activities with the leader. Activities will be implemented at the local school in the form of three-hour workshops on Saturday mornings.
The first animation was held for children from 5th to 8th grade from the elementary school Brodarica, where the local coordinator for Brodarica gave an interactive presentation about the project, its goals and participants. The children have highlighted the topics to be addressed, as well as the benefits they would receive from the project. Through various informal methods and experiential learning – role plays, team building games, energizers, experiments, fieldwork, volunteer actions and presentations, environmental awareness of children and action on the principles of sustainable development will be promoted.
With student animation, selected local coordinators of the Blue Eco-Patrol to have their first task – to animate and motivate students to participate in the program. According to today’s presentation, we believe that small patrols will be more than enough! 🙂
