This summer, the association “Argonauta” continues with its summer educational program for children, through the months of July and August. There will be 5 free workshops under the common name “Eco Wednesday” for children aged 5 to 8 years old. Workshops will be held every Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30, starting from 15.7.2020, and ending on 12.8.2020, at the location of Beach bar Lantana in the bay Čigrađa.

The main goal of these workshops is the creative expression of children through the reuse of discarded objects while paying attention to our ecological footprint. The themes of “Eco Wednesday” will change from week to week to encourage children, through play and informal learning methods, to think creatively and critically about our fight against waste and artificial materials.

Today we held the first of the workshops where we made new items from used and washed tetrapacks: bird feeders and plant pots. In doing so, we learned which waste we can recycle and which we can reuse before recycling! All participants actively participated in creative “brainstorming” and came up with great ideas for reusing various waste items.

See what kind of cheerful feeders we made and in what interesting pots we planted rocket seeds, which we will be able to consume when it grows 🙂

You will find all the topics of the workshops, announcements and photos on our Facebook page:

We look forward to your response!
