An exhibition of photographs “Life of the Adriatic Depths” opened in the Šibenik library.
ŠIBENIK, September 22, 2020 – Organized by the Argonauta Association and the Sveti Roko Diving Club, an exhibition of photographs “Life of the Adriatic Depths” opened yesterday. The exhibition is set in the gallery of the Library “Juraj Šižgorić” in Šibenik, and is open to visitors until October 3, 2020.
Burdened with everyday life and the stress that life brings, we often forget about the wondrous beauties that surround us. And while we try to solve all the obligations that everyday life brings, we remain blind to the beauty of nature that is constantly trying to attract us; with its colors, originality, song, scents, creativity…
By posting these photos, the organizers want to “stop the moment” of visitors and bring them closer to the wonders of the underwater world and interest them in the protection of the sea and life in it.
“Almost every day I am at sea and I am a witness that the situation has changed alarmingly in the last 5 years. Some of these organisms in these photos are unlikely to be seen more in the sea. I don’t think we are even aware of the cataclysm that is happening under the sea. ”These are the words of Đani Iglić, one of the authors of the photographs, who emphasized the importance of educating children about the relationship to the sea and life in it and its protection.
“Due to its interactive nature, where visitors can seeinteresting videos of divers by reading QR codes and find out interesting facts about the species, the exhibition is well suited for children and adults.” Said Ivana Marin from the Argonaut Association.
In order not to be left only on their words, the organizers invite you to “dive” into the world of the seabed and enjoy the beautiful scenes immortalized by the camera of Đani Iglić, Ivana Kurić Kovačević, Duška Romanović and Eugen Kogoj.
