Blue Eco-Patrol Calendar for 2021 published.

“Pilot implementation of the educational program of the Blue Eco-patrol” in the school year 2019/2020. and 2020/2021 organized by the Argonauts Association as the holder of the project “Blue Eco-Patrol” and project partner, the Municipality of Murter-Kornati, Primary School Murterski škoji-Murter and Local Action Group “More 249”, was successfully implemented, and one of the results was the Calendar Blue Eco-patrols for 2021.

The Blue Eco-patrol calendar is the result of activities in which child patrols participated in the Pilot implementation of the Blue Eco-patrol educational program. It is an interactive calendar that contains photos and student works of child patrols, ecological dates, and interesting facts about individual eco-dates, and as a special feature are the birthdays of patrolmen who participated in educational workshops. The calendar is interactive and contains QR codes that lead to an interesting discovery and story and is available for download. The organizers encourage all interested to take over the calendar to remind them of ecologically important dates and encourage their celebration.

The calendar is the result of the participation of child patrols in the Photo Contest, which lasted from 16 May to 14 December 2020, as well as the implementation of the eighth educational workshop entitled Traveling Exhibition: Life of the Adriatic Depths. The task of the children-patrolmen was to actively participate in the interactive photo exhibition “Life of the Adriatic depths” organized by the Argonauts Association and the Sveti Roko Diving Club. The exhibition was originally set in the gallery of the Library “Juraj Šižgorić” in Šibenik and then circulated in all primary schools involved in the implementation of the project. The interactive exhibition served as an inspiration for patrols to further explore a marine species of interest to them, which they then drew, described, or created for it a QR code that leads to the description or an interesting video about the studied species. In this way, their works took the place of the original exhibition in each of the seven schools but were also part of the Photo Competition.

Through the Photo Contest, 12 photos were selected and awarded, which adorn the Blue Eco-Patrol Calendar for 2021, and which represent the acquired knowledge/feelings experienced / situation they want to warn or something that delighted patrols during the Pilot implementation of the Blue Eco-Patrol educational program.

We would like to congratulate the winners, but also all the patrols who participated in the development of the Blue Eco-Patrol Calendar and the implementation of educational workshops! And the project team is eagerly awaiting the Manual for the implementation of an extracurricular educational program for sustainable development of the project “Blue Eco-patrols” which will soon see the light of day and be the basis for further implementation of educational programs on sustainable development.
