We are extremely pleased to inform all readers that the Ministry of Science and Education and the Agency for Education have given a positive expert opinion for the manual “Blue Eco-Patrol – Manual for the implementation of an extracurricular educational program for sustainable development” published by Argonauta!
In its letter, the Agency for Education concludes that “Blue Eco-Patrol – a manual for the implementation of an extracurricular educational program for sustainable development is an excellent material to encourage students and adults to raise awareness of the need to protect nature and environment and act on sustainable development “.

The manual describes in detail 8 modules – How much do we trample our planet ?, Renewable energy sources, Food and sustainability, eRRRRRRRRize yourself !, Green bingo, Together for a cleaner environment, Is the sea acidic? and Traveling Exhibition: Life in the Adriatic Depths – which use informal methods to study the concept of sustainability through various topics and provide examples of action on the principles of sustainable development. The activities of the Blue Eco-Patrol place emphasis on children as the main initiators of change and the main links that connect different members of the local community in promoting sustainable development and the concept of “think globally, act locally”.
In addition to the activities described in detail in each module, the introduction provides practical advice on how to secure funding for the implementation of the Blue Eco-Patrol, useful tips for the implementation of informal activities, as well as comprehensive reviews of experts below.

ABOUT THE PILOT PROGRAM AND PROJECT:
The manual is the result of the Pilot Implementation of the Blue Eco-patrol educational program conducted in seven primary schools in Šibenik-Knin County, and implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Murter-Kornati, Primary School Murterski škoji-Murter and Local Action Group “More 249” and the Association for Nature Protection and the environment and promoting the sustainable development of the Argonauts as the project leader. The pilot program was implemented through the Blue Eco-Patrol project – an extracurricular educational program for sustainable development in coastal and island local communities of Šibenik-Knin County intended for primary schools. The Blue Eco-Patrol project started on June 1, 2019 and lasted for 22 months, and was co-financed through the Swiss-Croatian cooperation program in the amount of HRK 1,152,000.00, while its total value is HRK 1,280,000.00.
