TRAVEL – LEARN – DEVELOP YOUR ECO-ENTREPRENEURIAL IDEA!.
The Association for the Protection of Nature and the Environment and the Promotion of Sustainable Development Argonauta from Murter is looking for young, currently unemployed people from the Drniš area and its surroundings to participate in the SWITCH project. Selected young people will have the opportunity to go on a two-day study trip to the Recycled Estate in Vukomerić, participate in five workshops on the life cycle of food and electrical waste, and strengthen many knowledge and skills that they can apply in everyday life and professionally. Project activities will take place during February and March 2022.
The SWITCH project comes from the abbreviation Sustainability & Waste: Innovation, Training and Community Hub, and in the very name it says what the goal of the project is – CHANGE/SWITCH! Change in the attitudes, knowledge, and actions of young people regarding excessive waste generation and the use of natural resources. Through the project, young people will be encouraged to think creatively in order to offer eco-entrepreneurial ideas and become part of the solution, instead of the problem!
In order to understand the value of valuable resources – food and electrical waste, participants will visit the most famous educational property in Croatia – Recycled property in Vukomeric, led by the association ZMAG. The association has been working for twenty years in the areas of organic food production and seed conservation, sustainable waste management, learning about the use of renewable energy sources, building ecological and natural houses, advocating and creating models of good economy and social and solidarity economy.
Who can participate?
Young people aged 18 to 29 from Drniš and the surrounding area who are currently unemployed and outside the of the education system.
No special knowledge or skills are required, and everyone who wants to experience a fun, informal form of education, acquires a wealth of knowledge and skills and becomes part of the solution instead of the problem, is invited to apply.
What do we offer?
Learning through fun (research, role-play, brainstorming, debating…) and creating solutions, TWO-DAY STUDY VISIT, half-day allowance for participation in each workshop, confirmation of participation, and the opportunity to participate in the second phase of the project (education on eco-entrepreneurship ).
