LOCALS FROM MURTER AND YOUNG SCOUTS FROM BELGIUM RESTORED THE BASE OF THE CROSS ON THE GRADINA PENINSULA.
Young scouts from Belgium, 35 of them, visited Murter. As the scouting movement is always focused on volunteer activities that leave a positive mark wherever they go, at the suggestion, coordination and financial support of our Association Argonauta they helped to restore the base of the cross on the Gradina peninsula.
Together with the Kornati Agricultural Cooperative, the employees of Murtela and the support of the Municipality of Murter-Kornati, and with the guidance of the versatile Miro Novković, who is one of those people from Murter who never finds it difficult to jump into these kinds of actions and pass on his extensive knowledge and experience, together they repaired the stone part of the plinth and poured the concrete landing on which there is a cross.
Young Belgians gained valuable new knowledge through this action and the representative cross on Gradina is now more attractive for all adventurers and walkers. We can only wish for more such joint actions for mutual benefit.
