Future teachers from NP Krka visited Argonauta.
October 18, 2022. MURTER – As part of the project “Unknown Krka: hidden treasures of the upper and middle reaches of the Krka River” implemented by the National Park of Krka, our association was visited by a group of students from the Faculty of Teacher Education of the University of Split, who are participating in the project activity “Imagination and pilot implementation of thematic educational programs and cooperation with the scientific community”, in a 10-day program during which they will explore the project area of NP Krka and devise a new school program in nature that will be implemented in the newly opened Eco Campus Puljane in the municipality of Promina.
They came to Argonauta for inspiration, so our Ivana Marin, an expert in environmental educational programs of non-formal education, presented them with the Eco-patrol concept through the implementation of the educational module “Is the sea acidic?” on the First Archaeological Beach of Colentum.
After that experience, they visited the JEDRO Community Center, in the Murter-Kornati municipality building, where we briefly presented the association’s work, after which 15 international volunteers of the European Solidarity Service, who are volunteering this month as part of the “Island Extravaganza” project in Argonaut, Murter, on Colentum and Raduč, presented their experience of volunteer work and life on Murter.
This is a continuation of Argonauta’s successful cooperation with the National University of Krka, an institution that has supported the work of our association from the very beginning, and with which we jointly contribute to the protection of nature and the environment in the area of Šibenik-Knin County through the design and implementation of volunteer and educational programs in this sector.
Hvala svima! “Thanks, everyone!”
