PRESENTATION OF SPANISH CULTURE IN MURTERSKI ŠKOJA PRIMARY SCHOOL.
On Friday, 19.1., our ESC volunteer Romina held an interesting presentation about Spanish culture, more specifically a presentation about Galicia. That’s how Romina introduced the students to the geographical location of Galicia, the language spoken there, gastronomy and customs. Along with the presentation, Romina also played a knowledge quiz with the students, through which the students learned interesting facts about this Spanish region in a fun way.
Our Romina comes from Spain, but she was born in Uruguay, so she used the opportunity and time during the presentation to inform the students a little about her native South American country.
In any case, the students learned many interesting things about Galicia and Uruguay and thus enriched their knowledge, but also became aware of numerous similarities and differences with their own country.
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity.
