THE FIRST RECYCLING WORKSHOP WAS HELD AS PART OF THE “LET’S TURN THE CIRCLE OF CHANGE III” PROJECT.
As part of the project ZaVRTimo circle of changes III, whose holder is LAG “More 249”, in which Argonauta acts as a partner, we held the first of 3 recycling workshops! The 7R workshops were held at Pirovac Elementary School for students from 4th to 6th grade. The students acquired new knowledge about nature protection, the impact of their daily habits on the environment, and how to repurpose waste in a creative way. With these workshops, we want to strengthen awareness of the values of nature and the environment that surround us and create a positive attitude towards sustainable development. The first workshop was attended by 22 students who demonstrated their knowledge, skills and creativity.
Through the first activity, passing the ball, the students shared their good and bad habits, and then through the next activity, the market of habits, they had the opportunity to “buy” a new habit that they heard from other students, and they think they are ready to apply it. The students were introduced to the 7R concept where they noticed how they already apply its principles in their everyday life.
The last activity was chosen to meet the upcoming carnival season. Using a variety of materials such as old clothes, plastic bottles and corks, the students repurposed what would otherwise be considered waste and created creative masquerade masks. The results turned out great, and the children really enjoyed the challenge of repurposing seemingly useless things. The last activity is suitable for upcoming masquerades. Using various materials that would be characterized as waste, such as corks and empty toilet paper rolls, they created creative carnival masks. The students were especially delighted by the repurposing of seemingly useless things, which is evident in the creative masks.
See how everything went through the photos!
