THE LAST DAY OF JANUARY IS RESERVED FOR HIP HOP.
We greeted the most depressing month of the year with our hip hop workshop, because how to fight the January blues, but with dance!
Traditionally, our volunteers Romina and Juliette have prepared a diverse repertoire for the participants, from fun games like Monkey Queen, where one person does dance moves and the others have to copy her, to the mirror game that serves as a warm-up.
Practicing and perfecting the choreography was next in line, of course along with learning new steps. The girls had to come up with their own steps in pairs, which they will present to each other at the next training session. The motivation and desire to progress is obvious because they surprise us every time with skillful dance moves.
We’re dancing again next Wednesday, and until then, check out how we had a good time yesterday.
The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping the disadvantaged and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity.
