ECO-WEDNESDAY TO CELEBRATE WORLD WATER DAY.
On Wednesday, March 13, we spent the 8th eco-Wednesday as part of the project “Kornati – it is important to know about the sea 8”, and this time the focus of the workshop was the upcoming World Water Day!
Children from the kindergarten group “Školjkica” – regional facility in Betina, as part of the Kindergarten “Spužvica” – Tisno, learned something more about the importance of water for planet Earth and how we can preserve it. The children were divided into groups and had the task of classifying certain actions and habits according to whether they use a lot or a little water. So we made the children aware to turn off the water when brushing their teeth or to collect rainwater when watering the garden, and to replace habits such as bathing with showering in order to use as little water as possible.
In order to make the rest of the public aware of the importance of water, the children painted real works of art with tempera that represent water and with which they want to mark the World Water Day on March 22. Their works will be exhibited in DC Jedro, along with a text about the inspiration behind the works that we designed with the help of children, to remind all users of the center that water is a priceless natural resource that needs to be protected!
See how the workshop went in the gallery!
