VOLUNTEERING TO INVALUABLE EXPERIENCE.
On Tuesday, March 12, ESC volunteers Romina and Juliette visited the Polytechnic in Šibenik to talk about their volunteering experience and the opportunities offered by the European Union, students and young people.
Students had the opportunity to hear the inspiring stories of ESC volunteers, Romina and Juliette, who shared their experience of volunteering in Croatia. The students of VUŠ learned more about what programs like Erasmus+ have to offer through youth exchanges or study exchanges, but they also learned new information about what the European Solidarity Corps is and what volunteering opportunities are at the national level, as well as abroad.
By presenting all the programs offered by the European Union, we encourage young people to get involved and use the time to gain experience, make new acquaintances and explore other cultures. Romina and Juliette presented the options, and now it’s up to the young people to act. Volunteering brings a positive change in the community, but also in the person who takes that step.
We hope that this workshop will serve as an inspiration for young people to embark on new adventures!
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity.
