SAVE THE FORESTS!.
Eco-Wednesdays as part of the project “Kornati – it is important for the sea to know 8” are coming to an end soon, and at the penultimate workshop we paid tribute to the forests.
The children from the kindergarten group “Školjkica” – Betina regional facility, as part of the “Spužvica” Kindergarten – Tisno, first played a treasure hunt game where they discovered interesting facts about the importance of forests, but also shared their knowledge about this natural resource, which is really impressive. Building on this year’s first Eco-Wednesday workshop, which focused on biodiversity, the children then colored paper masks of different animals that live in the forest.
The last task was to save the forest! In the struggle between bad influences like fire and waste pollution, and positive behaviors like planting trees, the children had to save the forest by organizing a race. The goal was for bad influences to disappear, and for the forest to be preserved by introducing as many good habits as possible.
The workshop was a lot of fun, and the children went home with the knowledge that they can save forests and encourage others to adopt better habits, and see how it looked in the gallery!
*The project is financed by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia
