TWO MONTHS FULL OF EVENTS. WHAT DO OUR VOLUNTEERS SAY TO THAT?.
April and June were full of activities. From the youth exchange, Eco-camp Kornati and training course in Finland, all the way to the workshop in Zlarin and the final performance of our participants of the Hip-hop workshop.
The last two months were really filled with various activities, so the impressions are even greater. Considering all the challenges, our ESC volunteers have come to new situations, which can cause stress and anxiety. Therefore, it is very important to have a contingency plan in order to maintain mental health.
We used the reflection to identify the main causes of stress, triggers, unfavorable situations and any other factors that negatively affect the overall volunteering experience. Then the volunteers pointed out the ways in which they can cope with pressure more easily and how to become more resistant to stress. Finally, they committed to act in their work and volunteer experience in a way that positively affects mental health, and to try to eliminate stressors from their lives to the extent they can.
Try creating your own resilience plan and we believe that every challenge will be less scary!
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity.
