Our friends from the sea.
Yesterday, on Wednesday, August 7, we held another Eco-Wednesday workshop, whose main topic was “Sea Animals” and where the children learned in a very dynamic and playful way 🌊🦀🐚
We started playing fishing, where they had to look for hidden sea animals. Then we played “Discover the animal”, where the children showed their knowledge about various marine species.
After that, the sports games started. On this occasion, they played “Sky, sea and earth”, where our ESC volunteer Romina mentioned an animal, and the children had to quickly identify whether it was a land, sea or flying animal.
At the end of the game, we talked about the importance of taking care of the sea and how we, as citizens, have a duty not to throw garbage into the sea, not to disturb the animals and, above all, to take care of our oceans. Therefore, the next game focused on the three main roles: sea animals, bad citizens and good citizens, in a game where the children had to run a lot, but they had a lot of fun! 🐟🦑🪸
At the end, we played “the memory” where the cards contained pictures related to the sea and its species.
Join us at Lantana Beach Bar next Wednesday, and until then check out the atmosphere in our gallery!
*Workshops are held as part of the “Eco-Wednesday – educational program for children” project. The project is financed by the Šibenik-Knin County.
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in different areas: from helping the disadvantaged and providing humanitarian aid to commitment to health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. It is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the action.
