OH HOW TIME FLYES…..
Can you believe that our ESS volunteers Romina and Juliette have been with us for almost a year!
We haven’t even turned around, and their experience is coming to an end. Throughout the entire period of volunteering, there have been ups and downs, good and bad moments, joy and sadness, but they will remember their time in Murter for beautiful things. In a year, they acquired numerous competencies and skills by performing their daily tasks, so for Romina’s last and Julietta’s penultimate reflections, we made a recap of everything they learned.
Volunteers filled out a form consisting of different competencies and places to write. We went through all their tasks that they performed through their volunteering, and how it affected the development of their skills, competences, but also them as a person.
Although the departure is approaching and the nostalgia for Murter is already felt, we are sure that this experience will change their lives for the better and that they will carry all their skills and knowledge with them throughout their lives.
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity.
