ROWERS IN A NEW LIGHT.

As part of our project “Rural Rhapsody,” we enabled three teams of young people to learn about project cycles, budgeting, and the idea-thinking method. By applying what they learned, they developed their own project idea, which they have now successfully implemented.

The young rowers wanted to promote their club, encourage children and youth to get involved in sports, and send a message to the entire local community about the importance of spending time outdoors and being physically active. Sports are one of the foundations of a healthy society, and starting physical activity from a young age helps establish good lifelong habits.

This motivated them to come up with ways to make a change in their community. On August 28, they organized a demonstration rowing practice where everyone interested in joining could see what awaits them if they decide to enroll. The entire practice was recorded, and the video can be viewed on the association’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

To further elevate the club’s profile, they decided to design promotional hoodies with the club’s emblem and name, which will significantly enhance the club’s visibility.

We are extremely pleased with the results these young people have achieved and hope that the team involved in the project will inspire other local youth to take action and bring about change!

*The goal of the “Rural Rhapsody” project is to empower young people from the local community to take an active role in their rural community and to assume the role of initiators and organizers of cultural, entertainment, and other events by preparing and implementing their own projects. This project offers young people from rural areas the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills in an alternative way, different from what is usually available in their communities.
