First Impressions of the New ESC Volunteers
Our newest young recruits, ESC volunteers Ana from Spain and Theresa from Germany, arrived on Murter only (or already) two months ago, yet they have already gathered a wealth of experience through their volunteer tasks.
In just a few months, Ana and Theresa have participated in a youth exchange, completed the on-arrival training, held a rowing workshop with students at the Tišina Primary School, and taken part in many other activities. To reflect on their journey, we used the THOR cards, an interactive tool for reflection. Using the cards, each of them created their own story, linking the expectations they had when they began this experience to their current impressions and future plans.
We can’t wait to see how their story unfolds in the coming months!
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union program aimed at strengthening solidarity in various fields: from helping disadvantaged individuals and providing humanitarian aid to engaging in health and environmental issues within the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to community needs, make a tangible contribution to society, and gain invaluable experience while developing new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that wish to involve young people in their activities.
The activities were carried out by volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps program.
