GERMAN CULTURE PRESENTATION IN OŠ MURTERSKI ŠKOJI LANGUAGE GROUP .
Our dear ESC volunteer from Germany, Theresa, gave a presentation on Friday, the 10th, about southern Germany – specifically, Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. The students in the language group at Murter School had the opportunity to enjoy and learn some fun facts about these regions, such as how Neuschwanstein Castle inspired Disney movies like Cinderella. She also explained how big and important the carnival, or “fasnet,” is in her region – just like it is in Murter!
At the end of the presentation, the students played a fierce game of Jeopardy, divided into two teams, to test which team had the most knowledge about southern Germany. We congratulate the winners and hope the students enjoyed the presentation as much as we did!
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union program aimed at strengthening solidarity in various fields: from helping those in need and providing humanitarian aid to engaging in health and environmental efforts within the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to community needs, make a tangible contribution to society, and gain invaluable experience while developing new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that wish to involve young people in their activities.
The activity involved volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps program.
