REFLECTION TIME.
On Monday, February 10th, we dedicated part of the morning to something just as important as organizing workshops and writing blogs: taking a moment to reflect. Volunteering involves regular reflections with a mentor, to review the highs and lows of their experiences, both in Argonauta and in Murter.
The factors that shape our perspective on an experience – along with the memories and lessons we have learned from it – are endless and, more often than not, invisible. The value of taking a few moments out of our busy schedules to reflect, talk, and exchange ideas becomes crucial. Whether over coffee, in the office, or on the beach—anywhere is good.
From how the organization works to some feedback over their tasks, or even more personal topics like their social life on the island, yesterday we embarked on a little journey through the thoughts and experiences of our volunteers. Until someone invents telepathy, the only way to truly understand each other and exchange ideas will remain the simplest and oldest form: talking to each other.
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union program aimed at strengthening solidarity in various fields: from helping those in need and providing humanitarian aid to engaging in health and environmental efforts within the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to community needs, make a tangible contribution to society, and gain invaluable experience while developing new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that wish to involve young people in their activities.
The activity involved volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps program.
