DIY JEWELLERY.
Another workshop of the “Winter Full of Life” program is behind us. This Tuesday, February 18, we made unique jewelry from old magazines and newspapers!
If you want the recipe, it’s very simple: with the paper laid out horizontally, cut triangles from the bottom to the top (the size of the base will determine whether your beads will be larger or smaller). Then, roll the triangle, starting from the base, around a stick, leaving a hole in the middle for the thread. Once you’ve made all your beads, you can decorate them or leave them as they are—it’s up to you. As an extra tip, you can coat them with clear nail polish to make them more durable!
You can see some of the different creations of our participants here. And remember, you never know where a gem might be hiding!
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union program aimed at strengthening solidarity in various fields: from helping those in need and providing humanitarian aid to engaging in health and environmental efforts within the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to community needs, make a tangible contribution to society, and gain invaluable experience while developing new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that wish to involve young people in their activities.
The activity involved volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps program.
