ECO-WEDNESDAY: WATER ENERGY.
This workshop was all about the power of water energy, building on our previous discussions about wind and solar energy. We kicked things off with a brainstorming session on the various ways we can use water. It was amazing to discover just how powerful water can be in moving things!
After our introduction, we rolled up our sleeves and crafted our very own water turbines using recycled bottles. The kids also enjoyed a lively whispering game, working in teams to decode water-related words. To wrap up the workshop, we put our turbines to the test and witnessed firsthand how water can generate energy.
*The project is financed by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity.
