ECO-WEDNESDAY: SUSTAINABLE TOURISM.
This Wednesday, March 26, we held the eighth workshop “Eco-Wednesday” at DC Jedro, which is part of the project “Kornati – it is important to know about the sea 9.” 🌊✨
This workshop was all about sustainable tourism. Taking care of nature, using public transport instead of a car or being polite to the locals- all these aspects were discussed by the children. After acting out some typical tourist scenarios, we agreed on the big importance of being a respectful tourist. After that, the children had the opportunity to create their individual, sustainable souvenirs. Instead of plastic magnets or key chains, we painted pines to take back home. We finished the workshop with an active dancing game and had a lot of fun!
*The project is financed by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity
