Mediterranean diet, new friendships and a sea of ideas: FOODY youth exchange in Šibenik.
From April 8 to 16, Šibenik became the center of an international youth exchange called “FOODY – Fostering Opportunities and Development in Youth”. Over 9 days and a series of interactive workshops, field activities and group work, 34 participants from Italy, Spain, North Macedonia, Greece, Turkey and Croatia learned about sustainability, social entrepreneurship and new approaches to food and the food system. The focus was on the Mediterranean diet, and the event concluded with a lecture on the Mediterranean diet, a masterclass and a culinary competition between groups of participants.
Already during the exchange, the young people started working on disseminating the results through fun videos that you can already find on our social networks, as well as conducting public surveys and interactive posts. The creation of a cookbook with traditional recipes that the participants shared with us during the exchange is underway, and it will be available to everyone very soon! If you are interested in what is hidden in the FOODY cookbook, follow Argonautica’s social networks and website to be the first to find out! In addition to the participants gaining new knowledge and skills, the FOODY exchange also enabled them to connect with peers from other countries, exchange experiences and develop a European spirit of solidarity.
We want to show young people that a responsible attitude towards food is not only an ecological act,
but also an opportunity for innovation and community development.
*The project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program.
