Last Eco Wednesday!.
On Wednesday, April 2nd, we celebrated our last winter Eco Wednesday! We focused on the important issue of sustainable fashion and explored its significant impact on our planet.
We addressed thought-provoking questions such as: “Why do we love to buy new clothes?” “Where does our clothing go when we throw it away?” and “How can we make fashion sustainable?” This led to many ideas that encourage positive change. One of the highlighted suggestions was recycling clothes we no longer need and giving them a second life.
And that is exactly what we did! We transformed old aprons and T-shirts into beautiful, sustainable works of art. The children recognized the power of reusing old clothing with the goal of creating a brighter future for our environment.
*The project is financed by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia
*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.
The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
Volunteers from the European Solidarity Forces program took part in the activity.
