Stone and Sail Extravaganza 2021.
GOALS: The objective of the project is to improve knowledge and raise awareness about the values of cult.(archaeological and maritime) heritage as a common European value and its potential in terms of sustainable development of rural communities, to make the voluntary work and benefits adjusted to local community needs and connect local and international youth volunteers to learn from each other about different benefits and opportunities of volunteerism and ESC Programme.
USERS: The target group of the project is 10 ESC volunteers from Spain, France and Bulgaria. In particular, the activities in which we included ESC volunteers in 2021 could also be grouped by topic; 1. Archaeological site Colentum and the old military complex Raduč: - assistance in preparation for archaeological excavations and conservation; - assistance in preparation for the restoration of drywall on site; - assistance in the restoration of dry stone walls; - actions of cleaning beaches and forests in the area of Colentum and Raduč; - assistance in the promotion of archaeological sites (media production: video, newsletter, posts, articles, educational games…) 2. Tradition of the Latin sail: - Video production workshop; Making a promotional video; An interpretive lecture on the tradition of the Latin sail; Visit to the Betina Museum of Wooden Shipbuilding; Assistance in the international promotion of the Latin sailing tradition; Help with translating the Latin Idra website into English. Also, these young people will have the opportunity in Murter to experience a new culture, both national and local. In addition, through this project, volunteers will improve their skills and competencies for personal, educational, social, civic, cultural and professional development that has empowered them and certainly positively affected their self-confidence.
