Colentum Archaeological Site 5.

The Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, as part of the Call for Proposals, submitted to the Argonauta Association projects entitled “Archaeological Treasure Colentum 2,3 and 4 – Encourage community participation in the sustainable development of local cultural and historical heritage resources ”.
The final specific results of these three projects are the printing of an illustrated short story entitled “The Adventures of Quint Petronius by Valent Colentin – The Calafat Challenge”, her theatrical adaptation entitled “The Little Calafat”, the holding of a small theatre school for students of the Murter Schools elementary school as a part of a theatrical performance ” Quinto Treasure, and the production and printing of the innovative Colentum Hidden Treasure.

The “Archaeological treasure Colentum 5” project is a follow-up project to the projects mentioned above and is based on the real needs of the community of the town of Murter (island of Murter) and on the experience of implementing the previous three projects.
The project will achieve its objectives through the following activities:
1. Finishing and printing of tourist map “Hidden Treasure Colentum”
2. Finishing of existing information and educational boards on the archaeological site Colentum
3. Development of new information and educational boards at the Colentum archaeological site

The existing tourist map of the “Hidden Treasure of Colentum” needs to be refined, ie correcting the identified deficiencies and entering new information. Throughout the year, several projects were carried out in the area of the Colentum archaeological site, which resulted in new cycling and walking trails and a new beach, so these changes need to be charted on the Gradina Hill map and the Colentum archaeological site. Existing information and education boards set up on the sites of Roman cisterns and Roman villas eventually became illegible due to the influence of the sun and rain, so their replacement was necessary. Also, the text and design of the existing information and educational boards will be adapted to the design of the tourist map “The hidden treasure of Colentum”. New information and education boards will be erected at the entrance to the Colentum archaeological site in Murter and in Betina, as recently Betina is connected to the Colentum by a path over Gradina Hill.
