Eco Wednesdays – educational program for children.
“Eco Wednesdays – an educational program for children” is a project that will raise awareness of the process of green transition and the protection of nature and the environment in the Šibenik-Knin County through education using informal methods in working with children and adults. The main activity of the project will be educational workshops for preschoolers during the summer months and an online campaign for the general public. The focus will be on raising awareness of the green transition and ways to involve citizens and the general public in it. As part of the online campaign, a memorable motivational message will be created, which will further increase the awareness of all reached users of social networks.
COMPONENTS:
- Ecological-educational workshops under the name “Eco-Wednesday” – During June, July and August 2024, 10 workshops for children aged 5 to 8 will be held in the morning hours in Murter, on the beach of Čigrađa.
- Online campaign “Sounds of nature” – The campaign aims to make the target group aware of the importance of preserving the natural heritage of ŠKŽ. Using the instruments that were made in the workshop, the children will make a recording of the composition they designed, and then all the recordings will be combined into a creative video with a motivational message.
GOALS: The main goal of the project is to raise awareness of the importance of nature protection among the local population (children and adults), tourists and visitors. Individual goals: 1) Encourage the importance of understanding the concepts of green transition and decarbonization among target groups; 2) Raise the awareness of the target group about the importance of preserving natural and environmental resources through the connection between music and nature.
