Island of Murter Local Info Center for Youth.

The developer of the project is the Association for the Protection of Nature and the Environment and the Promotion of Sustainable Development of the Argonauts. The partners are the Municipality of Murter-Kornati and the INFO zone Split. Project collaborators include CES Sibenik Regional Office, Tramonto Diving Center, Association for the Education, Production and Promotion of Audiovisual Art Filmaktiv, Rijeka, Europe Direct Šibenik Information Center and Association for Improving the Quality of Life Adriatic Blacksmith, Biograd n / m.

The local O-point info centre will be open to customers for 6 hours every day from Tuesday to Saturday. LIC will provide information and counselling services in the area: group and individual. Group counselling will be organized through lectures, presentations, workshops, forums (according to the thematic program elaborated). One-on-one counselling will cover CV support services, cover letters, job applications, print and fax services, e-mail assistance, scanning of required documents, Internet and computer services for various purposes, assistance with institutions in case of need for continuing education (which mobility program to use according to the person’s profile), where to volunteer (according to the wishes of the young person) in the local community or abroad, assistance in collecting the documentation required for volunteering abroad, referring young people to institutions and counselling centres that can further assist them with specific queries, problems or information.

In the work of the LIC, we will include local volunteers aged 15 to 29 according to their interest and motivation for the four volunteer positions detailed in form 8 – a description of the volunteer place of work.

The project plans to recruit a young person with appropriate qualifications and experience as a Local Info Center Manager. The newly hired young person will receive training for a LIC leader organized by the Regional Info Center – Info Zone, Split, according to the standards of the European Agency for Youth Information and Counseling.

To inform young people, we will use the following media channels and tools: www.argonauta.hr Web site – O-point Youth Info Center; LIC Facebook profile, wallpapers – bulletin boards; YouTube and SoundCloud channel (for short video and radio forms); leaflets and posters for announcing events; printed invitations and tenders in the space on the bulletin boards in 4 islands; these other tools as needed.

All project activities will be based and implemented in the spirit and principles of multiculturalism, tolerance, gender and gender equality, human rights, non-violent conflict resolution and equal participation of young people.

The annual work plan of the Local Info Center “On-point” will be organized monthly through various topics of interest to young people. Each month, regular information activities will emphasize a specific topic and organize at least one public event dedicated to the topic.

GOALS: The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of the local youth information association to improve the quality of life of young people on the island of Murter. The specific objectives of the project are: promoting youth mobility, empowering them for active participation in the community and contributing to the creation of an entrepreneurial culture among young people in the local community.

USERS: The general population of the young islands of Murter and the surrounding area, aged 15-29.
