„Looking back – moving forward! Inner insight“.
Various historical events have affected the social relations of those involved and have created a context today that requires an approach that promotes reconciliation and encourages remembrance. Events in history changed people’s lives. Today, different locations, which were once battlefields, are an opportunity to learn from the past and an opportunity to think about using the potential of that space for positive purposes.
Looking back, we learn the story of who we are, and where we come from, and that knowledge can potentially reveal where we are going. The project Looking back, moving forward! – inner insight will continue to build a bridge between the past and the future. This project is a continuation of the previous edition of Looking back, moving forward! The participants still feel the need to strengthen and upgrade the foundation of this bridge. This project will help participants understand the psychological, interpersonal, and intercultural aspects and consequences of war. Digging deeper into their past and history, they will see many different but also important outcomes of the war that we still have to discuss. We will focus on that
what Europeans have in common and how we can learn from history will encourage reconciliation and constructive approaches to solving problems, promoting the European spirit of cooperation, understanding, and tolerance, and the active participation of young people.
This project includes young people from countries involved in various past events that are still shaping the path to the future (Croatia and Serbia, Macedonia, and Turkey). Together they will work towards one goal: to learn about historical facts in a critically calm way.
