The Argonauta Association, together with its partners, presented challenges and proposals for improving the implementation of renewable energy sources..
Yesterday, on May 7th, our Argonauta Association participated in a conference on successful energy and climate planning held at the Academia Hotel in Zagreb. The conference was organized by Argonauta’s partner, the Society for Sustainable Development (DOOR), with the aim of encouraging innovative approaches in the planning and implementation of energy policies at all levels.
Namely, Central and Eastern Europe are facing complex challenges in the process of energy and climate transition, making cooperation and dialogue among various stakeholders essential. Therefore, the conference gathered regional leaders, policymakers, energy experts, and civil society representatives.
Yesterday, through panel discussions and interactive workshops, we had the opportunity to share experiences, learn about best practices in energy and climate transition, discover available financial and technical tools for implementing climate measures, and network with key stakeholders and institutions supporting a sustainable energy transition. All of this can contribute to the implementation of sustainable policies at local and regional levels.
Additionally, two documents developed through the project “From Plans to Reality – Renewable Opportunities for the Future” were presented at the conference. The first document highlighted and presented to all participants the obstacles to the development of renewable energy sources faced in Croatia, while the second offered recommendations for overcoming these identified barriers.
Participation in this conference reaffirmed the importance of joint action and knowledge exchange in achieving a climate-neutral and energy-efficient society. The Argonauta Association will continue to actively contribute to these processes through projects that promote sustainable development, environmental protection, and the involvement of local communities in climate action.
