MARCH FLEW BY.
March was a long time coming but then it flew by.
At the beginning of the month I went back to Spain, but this time I didn’t go home but stayed in the south, more precisely in Malaga and Granada. There I travelled with my partner, David, whom I was dying to see, and a few friends.
The truth is that those days were incredible, good weather, good company, cheap food, what more could I ask for… We did the “Caminito del rey”, bought books in second hand shops, walked the streets of Granada where I had never been before, listened to live music… another thing, but being in the south I realised that I didn’t feel at home anywhere (long live the north!). But one of the best things of the trip was to see my friends, especially my group of friends from the erasmus, because it had been two years since we had seen the whole group. The truth is that on the island I only interacted with my Argonauta mates and Juliette, so coming back to a big city was strange and even more to be surrounded by so many warm people, my people…And as it is obvious, I didn’t want to go back hahahahah but here we are again….
The week after the trip to Spain was crazy, I literally didn’t have time to rest and recover the accumulated sleep.
The day after my arrival I had to get up early in order to give a presentation on mobility opportunities for young people at one of the universities in Šibenik. The day after that, we had to do the Eco-wensday for the national TV reporters, and that night I could hardly sleep so it was horrible to have to get up early again. And finally the last days of the week I had to do all the things I had accumulated from being on holiday, and go to perform a play in Šibenik, in short, madness.
That same week I said goodbye to Juliette, as now she would be the one to go home. The week she was away was incredibly good, it felt like summer, I could sleep in luxury….hahaha, and I spent my time reading in the sun, taking baths in the sea and enjoying the solitude singing and dancing to loud music in the kitchen.
On Saturday before she came back, Karlo proposed me to go to Split to participate in a demonstration against corruption, which was also part of the election campaign of his political party, and I could not refuse, because these opportunities should always be taken advantage of.
Split was incredible, I enjoyed it very much, although being at the top of Velika and Mala Petka Forest Park I couldn’t help thinking that sharing those moments with my family and friends would be much better, but there are things that you have to live alone and learn to enjoy them anyway.
And the last week of March, I received my partner. We dedicated ourselves to rest and get strength to live the Youth Exchange to the fullest, as the weather demanded it, yes, we went from summer to winter in just a few days, climate change ….
We also finished the “winter full of life” programme and the hip-hop workshop, as well as the eco-wensday. Which to tell the truth, we needed it a little bit… we could say that we are ending a stage, and with it we hope that only good things will come, and we will leave behind the winter that cost so much at times…
Let’s see what the next chapter of this adventure has in store.
